Yankees acquire pitcher Lance Lynn from the Twins
The New York Yankees have acquired pitcher Lance Lynn, plus cash considerations, from the Minnesota Twins in exchange for outfielder Tyler Austin and pitcher Luis Rijo.
Despite starting 20 games for the Twins this season, Lynn is expected to move to the bullpen for the Yankees. He will provide insurance for the starting rotation and will be able to eat up innings relief. He is a free agent at the end of the season.
Lynn has posted a 4.73 FIP with 100 strikeouts in 102 1/3 innings pitched this season.
