Angels place Mike Trout (wrist) on the disabled list
The Los Angeles Angels have placed Mike Trout (wrist) on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to August 6.
Trout was expected to return for this weekend's series against the Oakland Athletics, but evidently didn't show enough improvement. There isn't a timetable for his return yet, but considering how long the Angels waited to place him on the DL, he shouldn't be out long. Eric Young Jr. should continue to see the bulk of playing time in center field while Trout is sidelined.
Trout is batting .309/.459/.624 with 82 runs, 30 home runs, 60 RBIs, and 21 stolen bases this year.
