Shohei Ohtani playing designated hitter for Angels on Thursday
Los Angeles Angels designated hitter/starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani is batting out of the cleanup spot versus right-hander Ariel Jurado and the Texas Rangers on Thursday.
Ohtani will handle DH work as the Angels return to an American League park after spending the past three games under National League rules. Albert Pujols will bat fifth, Andrelton Simmons will hit sixth, Taylor Ward will be in the eight-hole, and Eric Young Jr. will bring up the rear.
