Wizards' Isaiah Thomas reportedly making first start since 2018 Monday night
Washington Wizards point guard Isaiah Thomas is starting on Monday versus the Detroit Pistons, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Thomas is expected to replace Ish Smith in the first unit. It will be his first start since March 2018 with the Los Angeles Lakers. After missing the first two games with a thumb injury, Thomas averaged 16.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 7.3 assists, and 2.7 3-pointers off the bench in the last three while shooting 46.2 percent. Wizards head coach Scott Brooks indicated Thomas' minutes may be monitored.
