Daniel Theis returning to Celtics in deadline deal
The Boston Celtics are acquiring power forward Daniel Theis from the Houston Rockets.
What It Means:
The Rockets are sending Dennis Schroder, Enes Freedom, and Bruno Fernando to Boston. Theis spent his first three-plus seasons with the Celtics before being traded to the Chicago Bulls last year. He had fallen out of Houston's rotation this season, but Theis might pluck some playing time away from Robert Williams and Grant Williams down the stretch.
Theis averaged 22.5 minutes and 17.6 FanDuel points per game for the Rockets when he was in their rotation this season.
