Keegan Murray will start Thursday for Kings
Sacramento Kings rookie power forward Keegan Murray will start on Thursday against the Memphis Grizzlies, per head coach Mike Brown.
Murray will replace KZ Okpala in the starting lineup after playing well off the bench in his first two NBA games. “When we first drafted him, I thought he was going to be a power forward,” Brown said. “By the end of summer league, I thought he might be a two, three, four. Now, I don’t know what he is. He’s a baller. He can ball for a young man and it just doesn’t stop with his ability to shoot the ball. I think he can be a very, very good two-way guy, and a guy that can possibly guard a lot of different positions, and so he’s going to get that opportunity sooner than later.”
Murray played 35.5 minutes in the first two games and averaged 17.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, and 3.5 3-pointers while shooting 54.2% on field goals and 43.8% from beyond the arc. He scored 32 and 21.8 FanDuel points in the two games while registering a 17.1% usage rate.
