Jabari Smith Jr. (ankle) ruled out Monday for Rockets
Houston Rockets power forward Jabari Smith Jr. (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Smith will be sidelined for a second straight contest. Tari Eason started in place of Smith on Saturday and scored 14 points with 9 boards and a triple in 27 minutes. He figures to draw another start on Monday while Jae'Sean Tate could see additional minutes with the Rockets' second unit. Kenyon Martin Jr. is another potential beneficiary from Smith's absence.
Eason scored 25.3 FanDuel points as a starter on Saturday. He has a $4,300 salary on Monday's seven-game slate, making him a potentially attractive point-per-dollar value. Per numberFire's NBA Heat Map, the Rockets’ implied total (114.25) is third-lowest out of 14 active teams today and the game total (234.0) is the second-lowest on the board.
