Dennis Smith (hip) ruled out for Mavericks' two-game road trip
Dallas Mavericks point guard Dennis Smith will not play on the team's upcoming road trip, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon.
Smith has already missed two games and will miss a third consecutive one on Tuesday night. He'll be forced to miss an additional two games as he won't travel with the team to play Golden State or San Antonio. J.J. Barea and Yogi Ferrell will continue to soak up his minutes as he remains sidelined.
Over 30.8 minutes a game, our models project Smith to average 13.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists the rest of the 2017 season.
