Utah's Thabo Sefolosha (knee) expected to undergo season-ending surgery
According to The Vertical's Shams Charania, Utah Jazz guard/forward Thabo Sefolosha is expected to undergo season-ending surgery on an MCL injury to his right knee.
Sefolosha left Friday's game with what was diagnosed as a right knee sprain. Upon further evaluation, his injury is believed to be severe enough for him to require surgery. Joe Johnson, Jonas Jerebko and Royce O'Neale will be asked to pick up his minutes at the forward spots.
In 38 games (6 starts), Sefolosha has averaged 8.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 steals over 21.2 minutes per game.
