Steelers' James Conner expecting adversity and prepared to fight through it heading into Week 6
Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner told reporters this week that "We know that there are going to be some tough games. So adversity is to be expected, and right now, with our record and our quarterback issue, we’ve just got to figure out a way to fight through it. Nobody’s going to feel sorry for us. We don’t want anybody to. We’ve just got to go out there and keep playing football”.
Conner and the Steelers will enter uncharted territory on Sunday night with fourth-string quarterback Devlin Hodges under center. Given his lack of experience, the team may opt to lean heavily on Conner against the Chargers' run defense rated 23rd overall by our power rankings. Our models expect Conner to receive 20.2 touches in Week 6.
Our models project Conner for 15.9 FanDuel points on Sunday night. He is priced at $6,600 on the Sunday-Monday slate and $12,500 on the single-game Sunday night slate.
