Jags return to Mike Glennon for Week 16
Mike Glennon will start at quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 16 against the Chicago Bears, Adam Schefter reports.
The Jags, now the favorites to land the first pick of the 2021 NFL Draft after the New York Jets' surprise Week 15 victory over the Los Angeles Rams, are taking no chances in losing their grip on future franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Their decision to start Glennon over Gardner Minshew is about as overt as the team can be about their intentions.
With the exception of sack percentage, Minshew has outplayed Glennon by almost every metric used to evaluate a quarterback's play. Glennon's salary on FanDuel this week is $6,500.
