Dolphins "very confident" in Tua Tagovailoa heading into Week 1
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has the support of Brian Flores heading into the start of the 2021 season.
Asked about the team's belief in Tagovailoa following Sunday's preseason game, Brian Flores said "I’m very confident in Tua. He’s played well.” Flores was also asked about recent reports connecting the Dolphins to Houston Texans' quarterback Deshaun Watson, to which he responded that any conversations the team has or didn't have will remain internal. Tagovailoa sat out Miami's final preseason game after playing in the first two. He will end the preseason with a combined stat line of 24 completions on 34 attempts for 282 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception.
Tagovailoa's Week 1 projection includes 240.0 passing yards, 1.4 touchdowns, 0.9 interceptions, and 16.5 FanDuel points. His salary is $6,600 and he is the QB21 in our Week 1 projections.
