Dolphins re-sign running back Jeff Wilson to 2-year contract
The Miami Dolphins have signed running back Jeff Wilson to a two-year deal on Tuesday.
Miami will keep their running back group mostly intact after they choose to re-sign Wilson and Raheem Mostert. In an offense ranked 26th (38.0) in run percentage last season, expect Wilson to see a similar amount of volume after he registered 11.7 touches per game when Mostert was also active.
On 198 total touches last season, Wilson ranked 48th among running backs with a 66.9 Pro Football Focus offensive rating while producing 1,045 scrimmage yards, 6 total touchdowns, 2.62 yards per attempt after contact, and 28 forced missed tackles.
