Patriots' Mac Jones 'on a short leash' for Week 6 start
The New England Patriots are expected to have a "short leash" for starting quarterback Mac Jones in their Week 6 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Jones will enter Week 6 as the Patriots' starter, but might not hold that job title when the team leaves their game against the Raiders. Jones has been benched in each of the Patriots' last two games after scoring a combined 3 points in those outings and it sounds like he's in danger of a third-straight benching today. If he does get benched, the Patriots' depth chart is filled with uncertainty; any of Bailey Zappe, Will Grier, or even Malik Cunningham could take snaps. The Patriots' season is already off the rails.
Jones is an incredibly risky start in fantasy this week, even against the Raiders' fantasy-friendly defense. He has a $6,400 salary on FanDuel and is currently projected for 13.7 fantasy points.
