Darren Waller (hamstring) ruled out Week 9 for Giants
New York Giants tight end Darren Waller (hamstring) will not play Week 9 against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, per head coach Brian Daboll.
Waller is expected to miss multiple games after suffering a hamstring injury in last week's overtime loss to the New York Jets. Daniel Bellinger will take over as the top tight end while Waller is out. His absence is a significant loss for an offense that has already had plenty of problems moving the ball this season.
Bellinger is the TE25 in numberFire's Week 9 PPR rankings and our models project him for 4.3 FanDuel points, 3.5 targets, 2.6 receptions, and 22.8 yards. The Raiders are ranked 17th in FanDuel points allowed per game to tight ends this season and they're allowing the 11th-most receptions per game to the position. Waller has a 22.4% target share on the Giants this season.
