Cardinals' James Conner (knee) officially designated to return
Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (knee) was designated to return from injured reserve on Wednesday.
Conner has a chance to play in Week 10 against the Atlanta Falcons after missing the last four games. Emari Demercado (toe) will likely be relegated to backup duty if Conner is cleared to return. Kyler Murray (knee) also might be making his season debut on Sunday, which would be a boost for Conner and the entire offense. Conner averaged 15.5 carries and 2.5 targets in his three healthy games this season.
Conner is the RB21 in numberFire's Week 10 rankings and our models project him for 11.3 FanDuel points, with 15.9 carries, 66.4 rushing yards, 2.1 receptions, and 16.4 receiving yards. He will have a tough matchup in his first game back versus a Falcons defense allowing the sixth-fewest FanDuel points per game to running backs this season. They have the fifth-best run defense in the NFL, according to numberFire's opponent-adjusted rankings.
