Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence (concussion) 'progressing well'
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is still in the NFL concussion protocol, per head coach Doug Pederson.
Pederson added that Lawrence is "progressing well" after suffering a concussion on Sunday night versus the Baltimore Ravens. The Jaguars will release their first injury report for Week 16 after Wednesday's practice, but if Lawrence is unable to play versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, C.J. Beathard will be the starter. That would be a notable downgrade for the Jaguars' offense in an appealing matchup.
The Buccaneers are allowing the sixth-most FanDuel points per game to quarterbacks this season and they have the third-worst pass defense in the NFL, according to numberFire's opponent-adjusted efficiency rankings.
