Giants' Tommy DeVito loses starting job
New York Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito will not start in Week 17 against the Los Angeles Rams, per head coach Brian Daboll.
DeVito has been benched for Tyrod Taylor after starting the past six games. The undrafted rookie avoided turning the ball over, but he failed to score a touchdown in either of his last two starts. Taylor will likely be a slight upgrade for the Giants' offense.
DeVito is averaging negative-0.16 and Taylor is averaging 0.09 Passing Net Expected Points per dropback this season. He has completed 112 of 176 pass attempts for 1,087 yards, 8 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions. DeVito also has 36 carries for 195 yards and a touchdown.
