Will Clarke on Bengals' roster bubble
Cincinnati Bengals third-year defensive end Will Clarke is on the roster bubble, the Cincinnati Enquirer's Paul Dehner believes.
The 2014 third-round selection hasn't been able to find the field much through his first two seasons, playing just 212 snaps in that time. Clarke will probably make the team, but the Bengals have explored outside options like veteran pass rusher Dwight Freeney. Clarke and Margus Hunt need to step up as backups in 2016.
The Bengals' defense ranked 10th in the league in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play in 2015. Our algorithms project Clarke for just 5.83 tackles and 0.62 sacks this year.
