Saints' Stephone Anthony (leg) resumes practicing
New Orleans Saints strong-side linebacker Stephone Anthony (leg) has resumed practicing.
There was at one point concern that Anthony's might not be ready for Week 1. Anthony struggled in pass coverage his rookie year, so the Saints are hoping for more production by starting him at the SAM linebacker spot - a downhill, attacking role - with James Laurinaitis manning the middle.
If healthy, our algorithms project Anthony for 111.32 tackles, 1.27 sacks and 5.62 passes defended in 2016. The Saints' defense was historically bad in 2015 in terms of Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points.
