Lions won't re-sign Devin Taylor
The Detroit Lions aren't likely to re-sign defensive end Devin Taylor, according to the Detroit Free Press.
Taylor took a step back as a 16-game starter for the first time last season. The Lions can't afford to keep him with Ziggy Ansah and Haloti Ngata in the final year of their contracts. Taylor should generate a decent amount of interest heading into his age-27 season. He recorded 4.5 sacks last season, down from 7.0 sacks in 2015.
The Lions defense was the worst in the league last season by opponent-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play.
