Jacoby Brissett reportedly going to start for Colts in Week 2
The Indianapolis Colts are planning to start QB Jacoby Brissett against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Brissett replaced Scott Tolzien in the third quarter of the Colts' season-opening loss, so this decision doesn't come as much of a surprise. It's a minor upgrade for Indianapolis' offense, but Brissett is plenty limited as a passer, evidenced by the 154.0 yards he averaged in two starts for the New England Patriots last season. The 23-year-old 2016 third-round pick does have some dual-threat ability, so he could theoretically open up running lanes for Frank Gore and Marlon Mack.
With the decision not yet official, numberFire's models currently expect the two Colts quarterbacks to combine for 246.4 passing yards with 1.22 touchdowns and 1.69 interceptions in Week 2.
