Raiders' Derek Carr admits back injury lingered throughout season
Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr admitted his back injury affected him throughout the season.
“Injuries will never be something I talk about, especially during the season, but since it’s after the season, the (back issue) was one of those things that was there,†Carr said. "I had to deal with it." The 26-year-old quarterback injured his back in Week 4 but only missed one game after originally being given a 2-4 week timetable, and it sounds like he was limited for the rest of the year. Expectations will be high for Carr moving forward with Jay Gruden now taking over head coaching duties in Oakland.
Carr averaged 14.5 FanDuel points in 15 contests this season while throwing for 3,496 yards with 22 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
