Raiders send Justin Tuck to injured reserve
The Oakland Raiders have placed defensive end Justin Tuck on injured reserve with a torn pectoral, ending his season.
This ends Tuck's age-32 season with only one sack and seven tackles to his credit. Tuck has played in 20 games with the Raiders through two seasons, and he has tallied a total of six sacks.
Even though Tuck wasn't doing much, this will only further hurt an already poor Oakland pass defense. They enter their Week 6 bye ranked 29th in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play. After the bye the Raiders will face the San Diego Chargers, who are currently ninth in Adjusted Passing NEP per play.
