Eagles' Carson Wentz (knee) cleared for 7-on-7 drills
Philly.com's Les Bowen reports Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has progressed to seven-on-seven work, according to head coach Doug Pederson.
The 25-year-old Wentz is continuing to make quick progressed toward a return from his late-season ACL surgery. He has been throwing in individual drills and running without issue, so he's making it more likely that he suits up for Week 1. At this point, it would be surprising if Nick Foles starts over him to begin the Eagles' 2018 title defense.
In 13 games, Wentz threw for 3,296 yards and 33 touchdowns while completing 60.2% of his passes in 2017.
