Thomas Hickey

Islanders' Thomas Hickey totals two points, including the game-winner

New York Islanders defenseman Thomas Hickey scored the game-winner and added an assist in the Islanders' 3-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday.

What It Means:

Hickey broke a 2-2 tie at 12:55 of the third period to put the Islanders up for good. He has two goals in his last three games but just four overall this season. Anders Lee and Travis Hamonic were credited for two other goals which deflected off Canucks' players and behind Jacob Markstrom.

In his fourth season, Hickey is posting career-low possession numbers. Both his 48.8 Corsi For Percentage and -2.1 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength are career-worst clips. We project him to tally two more points -- both assists -- over the remainder of the campaign.
