Claude Giroux tallies goal, assist in Flyers' shootout loss
Philadelphia Flyers center Claude Giroux scored a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss over Los Angeles.
Giroux picked up the primary assist on Shayne Gostisbehere's first period goal. He scored one of his own in the third frame to give the Flyers a 2-1 lead at the time. Jakub Voracek and Michael Del Zotto registered the assists on Giroux's goal.
The 27-year-old Giroux has scored in two of his last three contests and now has six goals and 13 points in 18 games. We project him to post 53 points -- 21 goals and 32 assists -- over the final 65 games. That would give him 66 points this season, which is well off the 73-point and 86-point campaigns he's posted in the last two seasons.
