League of Legends Daily Fantasy Helper: LCS, 7/17/20
FanDuel is offering League of Legends daily fantasy, and look, if you don't know what that is, it's okay.
I have you covered with a detailed but straightforward primer to get you all set up, whether you're a DFS player looking to dig into the new sport, or a League of Legends fan ready to take your action over to FanDuel.
The LCS Summer Split is officially here, and the official schedule is here, which will show you each week they will have two games on Fridays, four on Saturdays, and four on Sundays. All matches are a single game, not a best-of-three series. This slate locks on Friday, July 17th, at 9 p.m. EST.
Team SoloMid versus 100 Thieves
Team SoloMid are coming off an 0-2 week, and that has led them to change their starting lineup. Treatz ($7,700) will be the new starting support in place of Biofrost. TSM (6-4) are on a two-game losing streak, but are still the better team compared to 100 Thieves (4-6), even though they are on a three-game winning streak.
For TSM, Bjergsen ($8,700) and Doublelift ($9,900) will always be the highest upside players on the team due to being the Mid-Laner and ADC. Even though they lost both games last weekend, they both managed to put up 21 or more FanDuel points in the second loss -- somewhat of a silver lining that they can produce points in a losing effort.
Broken Blade ($7,800) has scored fewer than 10 points in three of his last four games and should only be in consideration if you are willing to take on a bunch of risk.
Treatz is a viable option at support, but only if you are looking to stack TSM, and the same should go for Spica ($8,400).
On the 100 Thieves side of things, both Contractz ($7,900) and Poome ($7,300) have looked great since joining the starting lineup, and the team has gone 3-1 in that time. Poome has a total of four deaths in his last three games while posting 34 assists in that time. He is the second-cheapest support on the slate and is fully viable since 100 Thieves are surging while TSM are sliding.
As for Contractz, he's been playing out of his mind in the last three games with a total of 13 kills, 30 assists, and only 3 deaths. Even if you aren't stacking 100 Thieves, Contractz is in play for DFS.
The trio of Ssumday ($7,400), Ryoma ($8,200), and Cody Sun ($9,500) have all looked great over this three-game winning streak and are among the cheaper options on this two-game slate. If you are rolling out multiple lineups, you should 100% look to stack them in a few lineups.
Team Liquid versus Evil Geniuses
Evil Geniuses are yet another team to undergo roster changes, with the long-time veteran Huni ($6,200) starting in the Top Lane. They will also have Goldenglue starting in the Mid Lane for both games this weekend.
As a team, EG hasn't looked good this split and find themselves as the underdogs against Team Liquid. Bang ($8,900) has been doing everything he can to carry this team to victory, posting 32 FanDuel points or more in three-straight games -- two of which were losses.
Overall, EG are a classic example of 'stack or stay away' in DFS. You want to go all-in on them for some tournament leverage, or simply look past them -- with the exception being Bang.
With Team Liquid being the favorite in this game, it shouldn't be a surprise if they end up as some of the most popular players on the slate. Jensen ($9,000), Tactical ($10,200), and CoreJJ ($7,900) are all in the top 10 of the LCS for highest Kill/Death/Assist (KDA).
With that said, those three players also find themselves as the most expensive option at their respective positions. Stacking them is, of course, an ideal option, and only comes down to the salary relief you find elsewhere.
