League of Legends Daily Fantasy Helper: LCS, 7/18/20

FanDuel is offering League of Legends daily fantasy, and look, if you don't know what that is, it's okay.

I have you covered with a detailed but straightforward primer to get you all set up, whether you're a DFS player looking to dig into the new sport, or a League of Legends fan ready to take your action over to FanDuel.

The LCS Summer Split is officially here, and the official schedule is here, which will show you each week they will have two games on Fridays, four on Saturdays, and four on Sundays. All matches are a single game, not a best-of-three series. This slate locks on Saturday, July 18th, at 4 p.m. EST.

Counter Logic Gaming versus Dignitas

CLG (5-5) are fighting to stay above .500, while Dignitas (2-8) picked up their first two wins of the Summer Split last weekend.

CLG are the better team in this matchup, but it's clear that the roster changes for Dignitas have started to push them in the right direction. If you are going with one lineup and need options from this game, CLG would be the answer. If you are MME, add a few Dignitas stacks and aim for something which could be less popular.

Stixxay ($10,100) is the best player on CLG and comes in with the ninth-highest Kill/Death/Assist (KDA) (5.00) among all players in the LCS Summer Split. If we look at the five games CLG have won, Stixxay has posted five kills and five assists or more in each game. Of course, wins produce more fantasy points compared to losses, so that is where we want to look for an indication of his potential production.

Stixxay is the star player for CLG, and they will always look to feed him kills throughout the game so that he's able to carry them to victory.

Smoothie ($7,800) has the highest Kill Participation (KP) Rate (74.1%) among full-time starting supports in the LCS. A great stacking option if you are going with Stixxay.

Pobelter ($9,000) is looking good but not great in the Mid Lane for CLG. He is fine in a stack, but you wouldn't target him as a one-off option. Wiggily ($8,900) has looked strong for CLG, especially in their wins, where he has eight assists or more in each of the five games and a total of six deaths in that span.

For Dignitas, their lineup is clearly better with Lourlo ($7,100), Dardoch ($7,300), and Fenix ($7,600) starting, but that should be confirmed here.

If they are all in the starting lineup again, that is a solid three-man stack to look at for some leverage in tournaments. Of course, their ADC, Johnsun ($8,400), has upside given his position, but it can be risky to go with a full four-man stack from a weaker team.

Cloud9 versus Evil Geniuses

Cloud9 suffered their first loss of the Summer Split, but they are still the best team in the LCS and favorites in this matchup against Evil Geniuses.

EG were on Friday's two-game slate, and the thoughts I had about them for that slate are the same for this one -- though even further amplified. They are the underdogs in the matchup and not a team you want to look to stack in this matchup. Bang ($8,700) is their best player and the only viable option in DFS -- even though that is still a long-shot.

It's all about Cloud9 in this game, and as usual, it only comes down to how much salary you have available to stack their players. Vulcan ($8,000), Zven ($10,300), and Nisqy ($9,300) sit with the first, second, and third-highest KDAs -- respectively -- in the entire league. They are sure-fire options for any type of lineup you are making and should be rostered with full confidence.

Blaber ($9,100) would be a better option compared to Licorice ($8,700) simply due to the fact he is a jungler and will be more involved compared to a Top-Laner.

FlyQuest versus Team SoloMid

FlyQuest (5-5) are on a three-game losing streak, while TSM (6-4) have undergone lineup changes.

If there is any game on this slate which could turn into an absolute barn-burner, it could be this one. Going with a game stack would be an interesting approach to a tournament lineup since there should be plenty of fantasy points on both sides.

TSM were also on Friday's two-game slate, and a more in-depth breakdown can be found here. To recap it, Bjergsen ($8,300) and Doublelift ($9,200) will always be the highest upside players on their team, and the ceilings they have are ideal for tournament lineups. Treatz ($7,300) is the new starting support, and with his salary, he is a viable DFS option. Both Broken Blade ($7,900) and Spica ($7,900) are riskier plays and shouldn't be your first options.

On FlyQuest, PowerOfEvil ($8,800) is their best player and comes in tied for the highest average kills per game (4.7) in the entire LCS. This is a tough but winnable matchup for him, and he will always carry a massive ceiling of points due to his role as the main carry on the team.

IgNar ($7,700) is averaging the most assists per game (10.1) of any player in the LCS. His teammate Santorin ($8,600) isn't too far behind with the third-most per game (8.8). MasH ($9,800) is also a viable option at ADC since he is averaging the fourth-most kills per game (4.25) in the entire LCS.

As mentioned, this is a viable game to fully stack, and we should see plenty of fantasy points coming from both teams.

Golden Guardians versus Immortals

This is a bit of an ugly matchup with the Golden Guardians (2-8) taking on Immortals (2-8). Two of the bottom three teams in the league won't give us high-level League of Legends, but it should have fantasy points to grab. Since these are two bottom-tier teams, their players aren't near the top for most (or any) stats.

FBI ($9,500) could be the best player on either team and would be the first option for your lineups. They have won three of their past five games, and in those wins, FBI has a total of 17 kills, 26 assists, and 5 deaths.

Closer ($8,200) went absolutely bonkers in their win last weekend with 12 kills, 11 assists, and only 3 deaths. That was, by far, his best game of the split, considering he had a total of 16 kills in his other nine games combined. A pure tournament play if he is going to have a low floor, but comes with a massive ceiling.

Damonte ($8,500) is barely making an impact, with only 19 kills through 10 games of the Summer Split, and should only be used in a stack.

For Immortals, they have an entirely new lineup compared to what they started the split with and have gone 2-4 since the change. They are a pure GPP option only, and you would be going out of your way to stack them on this slate. If you choose to do that, Apollo ($8,900) and Hakuho ($7,200) are the bot duo worth taking a shot on, along with Mid Laner Insanity ($8,000).
