HORSE RACING

Parx Horse Racing Picks for Tuesday 11/24/20

It's a great time to dive into horse racing, and FanDuel Racing gives you the chance to do just that.

Starting at 12:25 p.m. EST, we have 10 races at Parx. Using numberFire’s projections and Daily Horse Picks as a guide, here are some of the best bets.

As always, check the program for scratches and changes, and monitor the weather and track conditions.

(I will reference Equibase's Speed Figure in selected races, which tells you how fast a horse has been running in each of its races -- adjusted for track, distances, and conditions.)

Stash My Money, Race 4

FanDuel Racing Odds: 7/2

At least nine riders based at Parx racetrack outside of Philadelphia have tested positive for coronavirus, including the top three jockeys at the track, according to the president of the Jockeys’ Guild. But racing continues at Parx Tuesday, and Race 4 is a Maiden Claiming race with 11 runners entered to sprint 6 furlongs,

The top pick, according to numberFire’s data, is Stash My Money (7/2) with Field Officer (8/1) and Gaucho (12/1) projected to hit the board. Stash My Money is winless in 11 starts this year as a 3-year old, but Horse Racing Radar notes that trainer Kimberly Graci wins at a 31% rate when running her horses in a sprint-route-sprint cycle. Stash My Money finished second at this track in July with his best speed figure (76) since February and showed good closing speed from off the pace.

This is a weak group, as Uncle Manny (3/1) is one of the favorites despite his 0-for-3 record without an in-the-money finish at Parx. Bullzilla (6/1) finished fourth just behind third-place runner Call Fitzroy (9/2) earlier this month.

Sunday Inn and Remain Anonymous, Race 6

FanDuel Racing Odds: 6/1 and 7/2

Race 6 is an Allowance race for state bred fillies and mares, and it is going 7 furlongs. Crazy Bea (4/1) is the top pick of numberFire with Remain Anonymous (7/2) and Key Light (3/1) also projected to hit the board.

Crazy Bea has had a bullet workout the past week -- the best of 29 runners at 4 furlongs that day. She has finished second three times in eight starts this year, including her last start a month ago as the favorite running 1 mile. Daily Horse Picks (DHP) and Guaranteed Tip Sheet both project Sunday Inn (6/1) to press the pace and win in her second race off a long layoff.

Sunday Inn has the second fastest speed projection behind Remain Anonymous, according to DHP. Horse Racing Radar notes that Remain Anonymous also has a pair of bullet workouts this month and takes a steep drop in class after finishing second last race and now ships in to Parx ready to win.

Terry’s Charm, Race 8

FanDuel Racing Odds: 7/2

Race 8 is a Starter Allowance race at 1 mile and 70 yards. The favorite is Nileator (5/2). But the projected winner for numberfire, Guaranteed Tip Sheet and DHP is Terry’s Charm (7/2). Horse Racing Radar notes Terry’s Charm is sired by 4-time Grade 1 winner Quality Road.

Terry’s Charm has won 4-of-10 starts this year, including from off the pace last month over this track. His last race at this level produced his best speed figure (96) this year when running a longer route at 1 1/2 miles. This is a cut back in distance, and Terry’s Charm looks primed to win again.
