Fantasy Baseball: 10 Players With Huge Gaps in Value Between ESPN and Yahoo

Eduardo Nunez went from a bench bat to a fantasy deity in 2016, finishing the year with a whopping 40 stolen bases. You wouldn't know it by looking at his Yahoo ADP. Still, there are some justifiable concerns here.

First, Nunez played most of last year with the Minnesota Twins in a park that plays well for right-handed hitters. Now, he'll have a full year with the San Francisco Giants, who have the worst park for dingers in the league. That's one ding to his value.

Second, it's not as if Nunez has no competition for plate appearances in San Francisco. Brandon Crawford is a defensive wizard who needs to play every day at shortstop, and Nunez's bat doesn't profile as well at the hot corner. Should he stumble, Conor Gillaspie is waiting after making big improvements to his strikeout rate, hard-hit rate, and fly-ball rate last year.

Additionally, the Giants signed infielder Jae-gyun Hwang in the offseason, and he, too, could be available for some run.

At the end of the day, Nunez has a great strikeout rate to boost his batting average, and he's going to get plenty of steals when he plays. There's enough fantasy value in that to make his Yahoo ADP look a little curious. Just don't be too antsy to snag him and ignore what are legitimate reasons for pause.
