MLB Team Power Rankings Update: The Astros Finally Ascend to the Top

The Astros, Dodgers, and Yankees have been shifting around in the top three spots since May 16th, so seeing them occupying those some spots again isn't surprising. However, there is one team that has unexpectedly surged their way into this group.

Biggest Rise: Miami Marlins
The Miami Marlins made a huge jump into the top 10, but it's still going to be awfully hard for the club to legitimately claw their way back into the playoff race, which is why they could be open to trading some of their young players at the trade deadline.
Edinson Volquez's no-hitter is getting all the headlines, but the starting staff performed well overall, posting a solid 3.43 ERA and 2.92 FIP, leading to a 1.1 fWAR. The offense also caught fire, with both Giancarlo Stanton (223 wRC+, .510 wOBA) and Marcell Ozuna (226 wRC+, .515 wOBA) leading the way. They may have to be without Justin Bour for a period of time, though, which would be a bummer because he's been incredible after a somewhat slow start.
Biggest Drop: Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers spent just one week in the top spot before getting knocked back down to third, but that's the least of their worries at the moment. For now, they'd likely be content with taking hold of the NL West and running away from those pesky Rockies.
Los Angeles' starting staff has performed well since we last checked in (3.75 ERA, 3.69 FIP, 10.50 strikeouts per nine innings and a 0.7 fWAR), but they had a rough week because the offense has temporarily disappeared. Despite players like Chris Taylor, Austin Barnes, Chase Utley and Yasiel Puig performing well at the plate, the Dodgers' team wRC+ of 62 was the second-worst mark in baseball.
