3 MLB FanDuel Studs to Target on 4/24/18
Trevor Story, SS, Colorado Rockies
Price: $4,100
Going back to the Rockies, Lauer's batted-ball profile makes him especially susceptible to giving up a bunch of runs at Coors. In 2017, he allowed a 44.6% fly-ball rate in 10 High-A starts and a 42.1% fly-ball rate in Double-A. In his 2018 Triple-A starts, his fly-ball rate was 38.6%. Giving up a lot of fly balls at Coors isn't a recipe for success.
Trevor Story's career batted-ball profile against left-handed pitchers looks like it's custom made for a guy playing his home games in Denver. He has a 53.1% hard-hit rate, 9.3% soft-hit rate and 47.2% fly-ball rate off lefties. Just looking at home games, that has translated to a .464 wOBA and .426 ISO over 305 plate appearances.
His upside doesn't quite match Arenado's, but Story still has one of the highest ceilings on the slate, while he also provides you with $1,000 in savings compared to Arenado.
