10 Fantasy Baseball Players to Buy and Sell for Week 8
Sell C.J. Cron
C.J. Cron has been piling up homers for the Tampa Bay Rays so far this season, but the good times may not last a whole lot longer.
Cron's slash line of .278/.332/.506 is similar to what he put up two seasons ago with the Los Angeles Angels, when he batted .278/.325/.467, but he's on a better home-run pace so far in 2018, with 11 so far. His wOBA of .358 is a career high, and Cron owners have gotten a lot out of a player that went 371st, per NFBC, a couple months ago.
Can he keep this up all season? His .322 BABIP is the highest of his career, and he's actually hitting more ground balls this season (44.2%) than his career average (39.6%), while maintaining about the same hard-hit rate as last year. Now might be a good time to sell Cron while he's among the league leaders in dingers.
