Jose Peraza, 2B, Cincinnati Reds

After cracking the 20-steal barrier in each of the 2016 and 2017 seasons, Jose Peraza was supposed seize the second base job and shine in 2018. He has started off strong this season with eight steals to his name already, but facing a fellow righty in Zack Godley tonight, we may want to look elsewhere at the keystone.

Righty-righty matchups have not been kind to Peraza. Since the beginning of the 2017 season, over 546 plate appearances -- or nearly a full season's worth of trips to the dish -- Peraza has recorded only a .273 wOBA and 23.1% hard-hit rate against them.

For his career, Godley has been unkind to righties, sporting a 23.2% strikeout rate and generating a 47.9% ground-ball rate, both above league-average marks for 2017. And that puts Peraza in a tough spot to roster tonight.
