The Toronto Blue Jays' 5.17 implied total is Friday's third-highest mark as they take on the Detroit Tigers and southpaw Francisco Liriano.

Liriano's 3.94 ERA looks decent on the surface, but his 5.05 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) is an ugly one, and puts him on pace for his second consecutive season above 5.00. His 12.7% walk rate is also on pace to tie his career-worst.

Even with his production down a bit this season, Justin Smoak has turned in a solid .350 wOBA against left-handed pitching. That gives him a .386 wOBA and .191 ISO in 249 plate appearances against southpaws over the last two seasons.
