The Detroit Tigers have one of the best matchups on the board against Yovani Gallardo, but considering they're, you know, the Tigers, they're unlikely to see heavy ownership. Gallardo is well on his way to his third straight year with a SIERA over 5.00, and he is showing a mere 17.2% strikeout rate and 10.8% walk rate.

Dating back to the start of 2016, Gallardo has allowed a .357 wOBA to right-handed batters, so we shouldn't hesitate to use Nick Castellanos as part of a contrarian Detroit stack in tournaments. His price should further drive down ownership, and against right-handers, he's posting a 48.5% hard-hit rate, .380 expected weighted on-base average (xwOBA), and .202 isolated power (ISO).

On top of it all, the rest of the lineup is super cheap, so you should be able to afford the stack while still rostering the pricey Justin Verlander.
