3 MLB FanDuel Studs to Target on 7/11/18
Charlie Blackmon, OF, Colorado Rockies
Price: $4,400
Charlie Blackmon makes very solid contact against right-handed pitching, and he has a 39.3% hard-hit and 39.6% fly-ball rate in 724 plate appearances over the last 2 seasons. Just looking at the 344 of those plate appearances that came at home at Coors Field, he has a ridiculous .457 wOBA and .341 ISO.
He'll be hitting at Coors tonight, and with a plus matchup against the Arizona Diamondbacks and righty Shelby Miller, the Colorado Rockies have Wednesday's highest implied total at 6.03 runs.
Miller's last full season was in 2016, when he posted an ugly 5.13 SIERA over 20 games. He underwent Tommy John surgery in 2017 and hasn't found a ton of success since returning from that. Over three Major League games in 2018, he has been crushed for a 61.4% hard-hit rate, and his Minor League rehab games didn't go much better, with a 4.81 xFIP in two Double-A starts.
Struggles like that could result in an offensive explosion at the most hitter-friendly park in the Majors.
