Shohei Ohtani, OF, Los Angeles Angels

Shohei Ohtani has proven himself as a hitter so far at the Major League level, notching a .375 wOBA and .235 isolated slugging (ISO) over his first 169 plate appearances. He has been especially productive in his 122 plate appearances against right-handed pitching, turning a 44.9% hard-hit and 10.3% soft-hit rate into a massive .427 wOBA.

A matchup with Chicago White Sox righty Lucas Giolito means that we're not likely to see Ohtani slow down tonight.

Giolito has been awful in 2018, with a 5.95 skill-interactive ERA, which brings his career SIERA over 32 games to an ugly 5.58. His 7.10 xFIP against left-handed bats in 2018 is particularly heinous, giving Ohtani some massive upside and leaving him hugely underpriced.
