Travis Shaw, 3B, Milwaukee Brewers

Just like yesterday, Travis Shaw is on the expensive side for a value play, but he's hard to pass up in a good spot against a righty.

Since debuting with the Milwaukee Brewers at the start of the 2017 season, Shaw has beat up on righties for a 38.8% hard-hit rate and 40.9% fly-ball rate, which has translated to a .351 wOBA and .232 ISO.

His production is down to start the 2019 season, but that comes with a likely unsustainable .258 batting average on balls in play (BABIP), which falls well below his career average of .286, despite the fact that his 46.9% hard-hit rate is actually on pace to be a career-high clip.

Jack Flaherty is no pushover, with a career 3.68 SIERA, but he hasn't been too scary a matchup for lefty sticks, with a 4.08 xFIP and a 38.4% hard-hit rate in the split.
