4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 4/10/17

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Now, let's get to the stacks. We'll be focusing exclusively on Monday's main slate beginning at 7 pm Eastern. Here are the teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.

San Diego Padres

Normally, we'll try to omit games at Coors Field from stacking recommendations because you already know you want to get exposure to this offensive haven. On a five-game slate devoid of solid stacking options, though, we don't have much choice but to get our fair share of these thin-air sticks.

We'll get to the Colorado Rockies in a second (the preferable team from a matchup perspective), but the pricing on the San Diego Padres makes them ideal for cash games as you try to pay up for Jon Lester and Jacob deGrom. While the Padres' matchup may not be on par with the Rockies', there's plenty to like here.

Tyler Chatwood is getting the start for the Rockies, and his ground-ball ways make him a sub-optimal target for DFS stacks. However, he allowed an 83.0% contact rate against the Milwaukee Brewers in his debut, way above their season-long mark of 73.4%, which ranks 27th early on. If he can't get strikeouts, then his 10.5% walk rate from last year becomes a much larger issue, forcing us to peep the Padres.

In San Diego's projected order, only Wil Myers costs more than $3,400. That means you can get Ryan Schimpf and his career 64.9% fly-ball rate at $3,400 on FanDuel. Manuel Margot had a multi-homer game last week, and he's $3,000. Then there's Hunter Renfroe, who occasionally does baseballs real dirty.

You've got options here, and this team's pricing makes them a great cash-game pairing for the high-priced pitchers.
