FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 4/10/18
Following a Monday evening that gave us a nice selection of pitching options, it feels like we're doubling that number on Tuesday's main slate. You could argue upwards of 10 different arms are viable in tournaments, and on the other side, we still have Coors Field and another hot day in Miami to consider for bats. But with the elite hitters all priced up once again, we'll have our work cut out for us if we want to fit in all our favorites. Let's try to narrow things down a bit!
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Chris Sale ($11,000 on FanDuel): In terms of overall upside, Chris Sale is your top guy despite a tough matchup against the New York Yankees. Sure, he'll have to get through the present day Murderers' Row of Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and Gary Sanchez (assuming he's back), but Sale is still someone who posted an absurd 2.58 SIERA, 36.2% strikeout rate and 5.1% walk rate in 2017. It looks like we can expect more of the same this year, with Sale compiling a 2.08 SIERA and 37.5% strikeout rate through his first 11 innings. However, it's evident the Boston Red Sox are being more cautious with their ace's workload this year, with Sale failing to exceed 93 pitches in each of his two starts. Given his overall track record, it's difficult to see Sale having a truly poor floor game, but the matchup and his slate-high salary could make him difficult to use in cash games on a day we could use some savings. Fire away in tournaments for the ceiling, though.
