Monday kicks the week off with a 10-game main slate offering, with Justin Verlander gets top pitching honors by a wide margin. But if you're looking to pay down in tournaments, we still have some intriguing alternatives. As for the bats, the Texas Rangers, Seattle Mariners, Atlanta Braves, and Los Angeles Dodgers will be some good places to shop.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Justin Verlander ($11,700 on FanDuel): We're nearing the halfway point of the season, and the Justin Verlander train is still going strong at age 35, showing little sign of slowing down. Verlander boasts a 2.97 SIERA, 32.0% strikeout rate, and 5.2% walk rate, with a league-best 26.0% hard-hit rate allowed among qualified starters. The Toronto Blue Jays may have their share of tough bats, but they hold a 23.6% strikeout rate versus righties and are getting a measly slate-low 2.80 implied team total in Houston. We should expect yet another strong outing from Verlander, and even factoring in the hefty price tag, he's far and away the evening's top arm.
