4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 6/26/18

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Now, let's get to the stacks.

San Diego Padres

Well, will you look at that, the San Diego Padres find their way into this space two days in a row! Yes, the Padres tend to be an easy offense to pass over on most nights, but on Tuesday, they get a fantastic park-factor boost in Arlington, where temperatures are expected to reach the mid-to-high 90s and weak righty Austin Bibens-Dirkx is taking the mound for the Texas Rangers.

Bibens-Dirkx is no spring chicken at age 33, and yet he's logged only 87 career innings, which speaks to the level of talent we're dealing with. He's managed an ugly 5.05 SIERA and 13.0% strikeout rate in that limited time, and 2018's three starts show little reason to expect that to change much.

On top of all this, the Padres are cheap from top to bottom, so they ought to be very popular on a slate with loads of high-priced aces. Top bats Wil Myers ($2,600) and Eric Hosmer ($2,900) both check in under $3,000, with Myers posting a 48.7% hard-hit rate through 58 plate appearances this year. Hosmer will benefit from the platoon advantage and owns a 145 wRC+ versus righties dating back to last season.

Either Manuel Margot ($2,700) or Travis Jankowski ($2,700) ought to occupy the leadoff spot, with Margot looking particularly intriguing given his recent hot play. Margot is putting up a 46.7% hard-hit rate and .415 wOBA this month. Jose Pirela ($2,200) isn't exciting, but he typically bats in the heart of the order and makes for a super-cheap punt at second base. Cory Spangenberg ($2,500) has an encouraging 41.1% hard-hit rate versus righties this year.

Don't rule out adding some Rangers for a game stack as they'll benefit from the same sweet hitting conditions against Tyson Ross. In particular, Joey Gallo ($3,000) is always an enticing tourney play, owning a career .300 isolated power (ISO) against righties.
