FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Monday 7/2/18

Max Scherzer has a rough matchup against the Boston Red Sox. Is he still tonight's top pitcher, and who else deserves consideration on Monday's slate?

Monday's pitching selection brings us a tough decision at the top between two of the league's best, while on the offensive side we see the return of Coors Field between the Giants and Rockies. The Reds, Yankees, and Indians also top the hitting ranks.

Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitchers

Max Scherzer ($11,700 on FanDuel): Normally, when we see the Boston Red Sox sitting in the opposing dugout, it's an automatic pass, and we move on to the next guy. But Scherzer has been unreal in 2018, posting a 2.40 SIERA, 37.1% strikeout rate, and 6.1% walk rate. The Red Sox may suppress strikeouts, but keep in mind that they lose the designated hitter at Nationals Park and get a park=factor downgrade away from Fenway (3.39 implied team total). At this point, Scherzer is a near must-start every five days, and even in the tough matchup, he's arguably the evening's best play.
