Chris Sale ($12,500 on FanDuel): While Max Scherzer remains a strong pivot in tournaments (if the weather holds up), Chris Sale earns the title of Sunday's top play. Despite pitching in the American League, Sale has moved past Scherzer in just about every meaningful stat category, and leads all qualified starters in SIERA (2.40), strikeout rate (37.2%), and soft-hit rate (28.5%). If that wasn't enough, Sale has steadily increased his velocity over the course of the season, and across his last five starts he's posted an absurd 0.30 FIP and 46.8% strikeout rate. This guy is on another level right now, and you're going to want him on your side against the Detroit Tigers (2.95 implied team total).
