FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 4/9/19
On Monday, we had a compelling matchup in Colorado between two solid arms in Julio Teheran and Kyle Freeland, but the teams combined for 14 runs anyway, showing (as always) that Coors Field is capable of slaying any and all pitchers who dare walk into the arena. The Braves and Rockies will go at it again tonight, this time between up-and-comer Max Fried and 2018 breakout star German Marquez. The Athletics should also be set up to score some runs against John Means in Baltimore.

Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Jacob deGrom ($12,200 on FanDuel): Jacob deGrom will cost you a good chunk of change as the highest-priced pitcher on tonight's 10-game slate. But he's picked up right where he left off last year, and you shouldn't hesitate to pay up for him against the Twins. In 2018, deGrom was the envy of mere mortal pitchers, producing a stellar 2.78 SIERA, 32.2% strikeout rate, and 5.5% walk rate, and through his first two 2019 starts, he's yet to be scored upon while churning out 24 strikeouts in 13 innings. He naturally won't sustain the 20.3% swinging-strike rate he's posted so far, but it just goes to show you how dialed in he is already. Minnesota is a fairly neutral opponent -- their active roster posted a 105 wRC+ versus righties in 2018 -- but they have far and away the lowest implied total on the slate (2.58), and deGrom shouldn't have any trouble maintaining his hot start.
