4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 8/12/19

We may have a fairly modest eight games on tap for tonight, but there's no shortage of offense at our disposal, with the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks leading the way at Coors Field, along with the New York Yankees getting another opportunity to throttle the Baltimore Orioles in the second game of today's doubleheader. With struggling hurlers Peter Lambert and Merrill Kelly taking the mound in Denver, the Rockies and Diamondbacks are combining for a 14.0 over/under, so you can bet they'll both be popular.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Premium members can use our stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. You can also check out our hitting heat map, which provides an illustration of which offenses have the best combination of matchup and potency.

Now, let's get to the stacks. As usual, we will not include today's game at Coors Field in these recommendations. You already know that you want bats at Coors when you can afford them, and you don't need us to tell you. Here are the other teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.

New York Yankees

There's little doubt that the Yankees will be the other popular team alongside the Rockies and Diamondbacks, though the presence of all three should at least help spread ownership between them.

But there's also little doubt that the Yankees have a fantastic matchup versus left-hander Ty Blach, who failed his way out of a roster spot on the Giants and was just picked up by the Orioles at the beginning of the month. While Blach was serviceable for the Giants in 2018, he was barely able to get out of Triple-A this season, getting roasted for an ugly 5.43 xFIP with a 15.7% strikeout rate over 91.0 innings. In his only two appearances in the Majors this season, he allowed 10 earned runs in 6.1 innings with 4 walks and 3 strikeouts.

Struggling in his lone Triple-A start with the Orioles' affiliate, we shouldn't expect any different results in his Baltimore debut -- particularly on the road against the Yankees.

Against the southpaw, we can expect lucrative outings from Aaron Judge ($4,000), DJ LeMahieu ($4,300), Giovanny Urshela ($4,400), and Gleyber Torres ($3,800), while Cameron Maybin ($3,100) remains affordable. And even in a lefty-lefty matchup, Didi Gregorius ($3,000) and Mike Ford ($2,900) are solid values with a sorry Orioles bullpen following Blach, too.
