Boston's Nathan Eovaldi (elbow) will need surgery, out 4-to-6 weeks
Boston Red Sox pitcher Nathan Eovaldi (elbow) will need surgery to remove loose bodies in his elbow, per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. He will miss the next four-to-six weeks.
Eovaldi had a similar procedure last season and missed two months as a result. While the Red Sox have a more aggressive timeline, Eovaldi is not likely to return to action before June.
Eovaldi has posted a 6.00 ERA and 1.52 WHIP while striking out 16 in 21 innings pitched so far this season.
