Troy Tulowitzki ends 14-year career in majors
New York Yankees shortstop Troy Tulowitzki announced his retirement from Major League Baseball after 14 seasons on Thursday.
Tulowitzki appeared in just five games for the Yankees this season due to a calf injury after sitting out all of 2018. The five-time All-Star and two-time Gold Glove recipient entered the majors in 2006 with the Colorado Rockies, where he spent a decade before being traded to the Toronto Blue Jays. He appeared in over 100 games just three times from 2012-2019.
Tulo hit .290/.361/.495 with 225 home runs, 780 RBI, 762 runs scored, and 57 steals in 1,291 career games.
